What We Offer ?

Laser vision correction of refractive errors (Myopia, Hypermetropia and Astigmatism) including customized LASIK with the state-of-the-art Star S4 Excimer Laser system. The ultimate in laser vision correction, the 100% blade-free all-laser i-LASIK femtosecond Intralase technology is now available at Dr. K.D’s Eye Hospital. Patients not suitable for LASIK have the option of undergoing Epi-LASIK or Implantable Contact Lens (ICL).

Blade – Less Laser Procedures

In the Blade-Less technique, there are no blades working on the eye. The whole procedure is done by the use of one or combination of two lasers; Femto Laser and Excimer Laser. The precision of Femto Laser is to the levels of 5 microns. Which means that if a human hair is 60 microns, a Femto laser can cut 6 layers in that hair, which is impossible with a blade. Therefore, Bladeless technique gives greater precision, better quality of vision and more safety.

There are three types of Blade – Less Procedures

1. Contoura Vision
2. Blade-Less Lasik
3. Smile
Contoura Vision is the most popular procedure and delivers results better than Lasik & Smile.

Blade Lasik Procedures

In Blade procedures, a special blade called microkeratome is used to make the corneal flap and then Excimer Laser is used to correct the spectacle power. Modern microkeratomes are able to create flap almost similar to the ones created by Femto Lasers.

There are four types of Blade Lasik Procedures

  1. SBK (Thin Flap) Lasik with Custom Q
  2. SBK (Thin Flap) Lasik
  3. Aspheric Lasik
  4. Standard Lasik

SBK (Thin Flap) Lasik with Custom Q is the most popular procedure.
